A custom Void Acoustics Incubus System takes centre stage at Zouk Tokyo
Zouk Tokyo brings one of Asia’s most recognised nightlife brands to Japan for the first time. Located beneath the Granbell Hotel Ginza, the 1,000-capacity venue spans two basement floors, combining an elegant lounge, premium bar, VIP spaces and a spectacular main dancefloor beneath soaring nine-metre ceilings.
At the heart of the venue is a custom Void Acoustics Incubus System, specified to complement Zouk Tokyo’s striking black and gold interior while delivering the power and precision expected from a flagship nightclub. Installed by Eastaudio, the wider Void Acoustics system was carefully designed to provide consistent sound throughout the venue, supporting everything from international DJs and live performances to corporate events.
A complete installation
The custom Incubus System forms the centrepiece of the main dancefloor, supported by Tri Motion loudspeakers to deliver powerful, high-impact sound across the club’s primary performance space.

Throughout the rest of the venue, Airten V3, Venu 10 V2, Venu 8 V2 and Air 8 loudspeakers provide carefully balanced coverage across the lounge, bars, VIP rooms and circulation areas, while Venu 215 V2 subwoofers reinforce the low frequencies. Even the restrooms feature Cirrus 6.1 loudspeakers, ensuring music remains part of the guest experience throughout the venue.
Years of planning went into the installation, with Eastaudio tasked with creating a system capable of accommodating nightlife, corporate events and live shows. Particular attention was given to blending sound across multiple environments, tight spaces and unusual angles, while balancing sound pressure between the main dancefloor and the surrounding areas.

Tuned for every performance
The Void Acoustics system made its debut during Zouk Tokyo’s opening celebrations, headlined by Kaskade and deadmau5, showcasing its ability to deliver the scale and impact required for world-class performances while remaining precisely tuned throughout the venue.
