Void Acoustics Incubus System makes its festival debut in China
One of China’s leading electronic music events, Vision & Colour Music Festival returned for its sixth edition in 2024 with a stellar lineup featuring Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix and more.
Set against the backdrop of the Hengqin Chimelong Bay Hotel in Zhuhai, V&C is renowned for its high-energy production, where cutting-edge visuals, stage design and sound combine to create an unforgettable festival experience.
For the festival’s side stage, Chinese distributor Real Music introduced the Void Acoustics Incubus System for its first appearance at a Chinese music festival, bringing one of Void Acoustics’ most recognisable systems to an outdoor audience for the first time in China.

Engineered for the festival environment
Designing an audio system for an outdoor electronic music festival presents unique challenges. With a 25 × 25 metre stage area to cover, Real Music needed a system capable of delivering consistent coverage, high SPL and powerful low-frequency performance without compromising clarity.
Working closely with the festival team, Real Music specified a complete Void Acoustics Incubus System, carefully designed to maximise performance across the space and meet the demands of both artists and audiences.

Built for every beat
Configured in a left-right arrangement, Air Array delivered high-output mid and high frequencies across the audience area, while Incubus Sub subwoofers provided the low-frequency performance electronic music demands.
Air Motion loudspeakers were positioned as front fills to maintain consistent coverage close to the stage, while Air Vantage loudspeakers paired with Xair subwoofers gave performers accurate, high-output monitoring throughout their sets.
Festival organisers and attendees praised the system for its clarity, balance and powerful performance across the side stage, marking the successful Chinese festival debut of the Void Acoustics Incubus System.
