Innovative sound design with Void Acoustics
Blitz is a legendary club located at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, designed by founder and DJ David Muallem. With a capacity of 600, Blitz offers an immersive experience, carefully crafted for audiophiles and music lovers.
Blitz’s custom Void Acoustics sound system features four Incubus Systems with Air Arrays, Hyperfolds, and Incubus Subs placed at the four corners of the main dance floor for optimal sound coverage.
DJ monitoring is handled by Air Vantage mid-high enclosures, with twin 18 inch Stasys loudspeakers extending coverage to the bar. Specially designed ‘Blitz Horn’ 360-degree high-frequency units hover above the dance floor, creating unique spatial effects.
The Plus room features Air Vantage mid-high speakers paired with Nexus X and Nexus Q low-frequency systems, and Air Stream DJ monitors. Amplification is powered by 33 Bias Amplifiers, ensuring consistent, high-quality audio throughout the venue.

Crafting the atmosphere
David and sound designer Laurin Schafhausen view the sound system as an instrument. The ability to manipulate frequencies creates a unique, immersive experience. For example, sound “rains” down on dancers and the bass “hits” with impact, keeping the crowd engaged.

Choosing Void Acoustics
David chose Void Acoustics for their high-quality products and collaborative approach.
