POYA, Val d’Isère
Void Acoustics brings refined sound to POYA
Located in the heart of Val-d’Isère, POYA has become one of the French Alps’ standout destinations, combining fine dining by day with a lively après-ski atmosphere by night. The ambition was clear: create a venue where the audio experience would be every bit as memorable as the food, drinks and design.
Working alongside EOS Audio and MiD, Void Acoustics supplied a bespoke sound system tailored to the venue’s unique acoustic and aesthetic requirements.
A clear vision
The project was led by Maxime Coquard, founder of EOS Audio, Void’s exclusive distributor and long-time advocate for the brand.
POYA owner Charles Roux-Mollard first discovered Void Acoustics during an extended stay in New York City, where he was struck by the brand’s immersive sound and distinctive design. Inspired to recreate that same high-end audio experience in the Alps, he chose Void as the centrepiece of POYA’s identity.

Charles Roux-Mollard, Owner of POYA“What Void brings to POYA goes far beyond just sound. It brings identity, physical presence and an immersive sensation.”

Designed for every moment
The brief focused on three key objectives: creating a distinctive sonic identity, allowing the venue to transition seamlessly from relaxed daytime dining to energetic nightlife, and ensuring the system complemented POYA’s luxury alpine interior.
With low ceilings and a combination of stone, wood and glass throughout the space, achieving consistent coverage without overwhelming the acoustic environment presented a unique challenge.
The final installation features nine Cyclone 8 loudspeakers and four Cyclone 55 loudspeakers on the ground floor, complemented by two Venu 118 and two Venu 112 subwoofers. The first floor includes a further six Cyclone 55 loudspeakers and two Venu 112 subwoofers, powered by one Bias Q2 and three Bias Q1.5 amplifiers.
Maxime Coquard, Founder of EOS Audio“For POYA, we aimed to craft an atmosphere that was elegant, powerful and sensory. Void allowed us to combine bold aesthetics with flawless sonic quality in a venue with complex acoustic challenges.”
An unforgettable experience
The finished system delivers powerful, crystal-clear highs, controlled bass and consistent coverage throughout the venue, all without creating listener fatigue. Visually, the Cyclone and Venu loudspeakers complement POYA’s premium interior, becoming part of the venue’s overall design language.
POYA’s new sound system has drawn widespread praise from guests, DJs and visiting artists alike, with many asking about the brand behind the installation. The result has established POYA as a benchmark for premium audio experiences in the Alps.
Charles Roux-Mollard, Owner of POYA“Every customer walking into the venue is immediately struck by the atmosphere, and the audio system plays a central role in that experience.”
