Void Acoustics completes the ODDNORM experience
Stockholm’s ODDNORM Dinner Experience wasn’t your typical restaurant pop-up. It embraced the weird, the wonderful and the completely unexpected. Open from November to December, the experience welcomed guests to a former gas factory in the heart of Sweden.
Created by co-owner Carl Phillip, the ODDNORM Dinner Experience was designed to leave guests with more than just full bellies. The concept stimulated all five senses, immersing diners in an atmosphere that evolved throughout the evening, taking them from dinner-party intimacy to late-night energy.
Getting the sound right was central to that transformation. Carl had experienced Void Acoustics in several international nightclubs and was struck by its bold aesthetics and powerful sound. When designing ODDNORM, he knew he needed a sound system that was as flexible as it was visually striking.

Working alongside Audiovision AB and Threshold Audio, the ODDNORM Dinner Experience selected a Void Acoustics system that matched the reality-bending character the organisers were aiming to create.

Void Acoustics stood out for its clarity, versatility across musical genres and distinctive design. Adjusting the EQ allowed the team to fine-tune the atmosphere throughout the evening, moving effortlessly from ambient soundscapes to bass-driven electronica.
Every sense engaged
Tri Motion loudspeakers anchored the main front-of-house system, while Nexus Q and Venu 215 provided powerful full-range support. Airten V3 and Cyclone 55 created ambient, high-clarity zones, allowing the atmosphere to evolve naturally as the evening unfolded.
From ambient soundscapes during dinner to genre-spanning, bass-heavy late-night sets, the system delivered consistent clarity and emotional impact, supporting every stage of the ODDNORM Dinner Experience.
Void Acoustics loves a venue with out-of-this-world character, and the ODDNORM Dinner Experience certainly delivered. We’ll be keeping an eye out for the next edition.
