Noku Beach House

Void Acoustics may have a headline reputation as an audio solutions provider for high-end club installations, but the breadth and capabilities of Void products stretch far beyond clubs and bars. And what better illustration than the expertly specified Void installation at the privately-owned Noku Beach House located in Bali’s chic Seminyak Beach resort.

“The facilities in this beautiful property overlooking the Indian Ocean are high-end luxury throughout, and this includes the sound system,” explains Suwandi Anggono, Director of audio integrator and Void’s exclusive Indonesian distributor Indoteknik who undertook the AV installation throughout the property and grounds.

Noku Beach House was a much loved but rather tired property which required a complete renovation, explains Suwandi. “We worked very closely with the owner and the architect from the inception of the project, as the audio system was an integral and important part of the renovation. The owner was looking for the best quality, but also robust and resilient products which would weather the outdoor elements and beach setting. He relied on our expertise to answer this brief and trusted us to recommend the most ‘fit for purpose’ solution possible.”

The end result was a rebirth of the property which is now hailed as one of the best villas in Bali. “Void Acoustics was the ideal recommendation for the entire installation with its reputation for audio quality; the product stability of their outdoor fixtures; the sleek visual impact and bespoke colour options. In addition to which the product range was diverse enough to address all aspects of the brief,” explains Suwandi.

The owner wanted a fully integrated system which was controllable across the entire property. From outside areas including poolside, tennis court, beach pergola and rooftop terrace, to the inside of the property including bathrooms and reception rooms, the technical specification of the property is therefore extensive.

By the time the installation was completed, Noku Beach House boasted Void Acoustics throughout, with fixtures from the Air Series; the Venu Series; the IP-55 rated Cyclone Series for outdoor installs: Cirrus ceiling speakers and the futuristic and stylish looking Indigo Series.

“The client is thrilled with the audio installation and his guests have been astonished by the audio quality” smiles Suwandi, commenting that “it isn’t often that a brief is so expansive that such a wide array of audio products are required. But because we were installing throughout the property itself, and around the widespread grounds and beachfront, it enabled us to specify a significant number of Void products to meet each bespoke requirement. We really could explore all options with this installation because it was so diverse and was serving so many different areas, and requirements.”

Void Acoustics’ Callum Bowran was APAC Sales Manager at the time, working with Suwandi to deliver the right products for the install. “Suwandi, Mahi and the team at Indoteknik are extremely competent and have excellent attention to detail. I knew they would go the extra mile to deliver exactly what the customer required. In this instance, it included an in-house specification and design and the recommendation for bespoke colour-matched fibreglass enclosures with black grilles to provide a distinct and unique design for the end-user.”
