Blinders Sports Lounge, located in the heart of Charlotte’s South End, has redefined the sports bar experience with a state-of-the-art Void Acoustics installation.
Developed by Omshera Holdings and fitted by DCBolt Productions in partnership with Peerless-AV, the venue combines the excitement of a luxury sportsbook, with the energy of a nightclub, all within a 260-capacity setting.
When designing Blinders, the vision was clear: deliver an audio-visual experience to match the look and feel of a Las Vegas entertainment venue. The space features one of the East Coast’s most impressive LED walls, and owners wanted the sound to be equally spectacular.
The brief was to create a sound system that could deliver pristine clarity for live sports broadcasts while seamlessly transforming into a nightclub-ready rig at the touch of a button.
The client told us they wanted this space to be a hybrid nightclub with high fidelity audio, we knew Void Acoustics was the right choice for this project.
Switching modes, not compromises
For Blinders, the goal was to design a solution that balanced power and simplicity. Venue staff needed a system that could transition effortlessly between sports lounge and club modes while being intuitive enough to run from an iPad during busy service. Void Acoustics’ combination of power, coverage, and sleek aesthetics proved ideal for the task.
Bringing in Nathan Short for tuning and commissioning ensured the installation was optimised down to the smallest detail, delivering exceptional performance across the venue’s varied spaces, including the outdoor patio.

The final installation features a carefully curated selection of Void products that together provide immersive, low-end punch, sparkling highs, and consistent coverage throughout the venue:

The response from management and guests has been overwhelmingly positive. “It turned out to be a phenomenally well-done audio/visual experience,” noted the venue team. “That’s exactly the feedback we’ve been getting.”
From crisp, room-filling sound during the day’s biggest games to high-energy DJ sets after dark, Void Acoustics has enabled Blinders Sports Lounge to offer a truly unique hybrid experience. The venue has quickly become a destination in Charlotte for sports fans and nightlife enthusiasts alike, setting a new benchmark for entertainment spaces in the region.
