Premium rooftop sound with Void Acoustics

Located on the 14th floor of the Dorsett City Hotel, Jin Bo Law Skybar is one of London’s most striking rooftop destinations. To complement its premium setting, the venue required a high-end sound system capable of delivering exceptional audio quality while integrating seamlessly into the space.

Working alongside London installation partner Twisted Audio, led by owner Barry Williams, Void Acoustics explored a variety of loudspeaker options and tested different placements to ensure the best possible solution for the venue. The aim was to provide clear, powerful sound that would enhance the atmosphere while meeting the requirements of both guests and DJs.

Testing the perfect solution

To evaluate the system in a live environment, a Venu 210i combined with two Air 8 loudspeakers was installed for the venue’s in-house DJ to use over several weekends. Requiring only three cables to set up, excluding the DJ monitor, the system provided a simple and effective short-term solution that allowed the venue owner to independently install and operate the system while experiencing the quality of Void sound firsthand.

The trial period gave the Jin Bo Law team the opportunity to assess the system in day-to-day operation and experience how it performed within the unique rooftop environment.

A permanent Void installation

Following the successful trial, the venue decided to commit to a permanent Void Acoustics installation. Taking the advice of Barry Williams and the Twisted Audio team, Jin Bo Law selected a Venu X system combined with four Air 8 loudspeakers.

Having worked closely with the venue throughout the process, Barry knew these Void products would provide the ideal solution for the space, delivering the sound quality, coverage, and performance required for one of London’s premier rooftop venues.
