A premium sound experience with Void Acoustics
Mansion nightclub in Liverpool reopened in August 2020 after an extensive refurbishment, designed to surpass the expectations of its VIP clientele. Owned by Dean Jones and DJ duo Camelphat (David Whelan and Mike Di Scala), the venue sought a sound system that matched its upscale, futuristic aesthetic while delivering exceptional audio performance.
Familiar with Void Acoustics from their DJ sets, Mansion’s owners knew exactly which sound system they wanted. As Mike Di Scala explains, “As DJs, one of our favourite sound systems is Void, and we wouldn’t have chosen any other brand for our own club.”
The club’s design team worked closely with renowned installer SA Acoustics Design, led by Gary Martin, who has extensive experience with Void systems. The goal was to provide the best possible sound quality while ensuring the system complemented the venue’s sleek design.

Designed to match the venue
Void Acoustics was selected as the core of the system, with design and installation handled by local Bulgarian Void The sound system at Mansion includes a mix of Air Motion V2 and Airten V3 loudspeakers, paired with Stasys XV2 subwoofers and powered by Bias Q5 amplifiers. The installation also required custom brackets to accommodate a new roof design and a custom RAL colour match to blend seamlessly with the club’s aesthetic.
Gary Martin’s expertise ensured the speakers were finished to the highest standard, creating a visually striking, high-performance system.
Void’s ability to offer custom colour options was crucial for the club’s design. Void’s Sales Director highlights, “We offer custom RAL colours on all our fibreglass products, allowing customers to create visually unique audio systems that fit their venue’s style.”
The colour-matching process was a close collaboration between the venue, SA Acoustics, and Void to ensure the system was a perfect fit for Mansion.
