Nel centro culturale di North Laine, a Brighton, è stata inaugurata una nuovissima galleria d'arte contemporanea, dove un'ampia selezione di opere d'arte contemporanea è completata da un sistema Void Acoustics per intrattenere gli avventori.
La Helm Gallery è di proprietà dell'imprenditore Luke Davis e della curatrice d'arte Eden Maseyk, che hanno realizzato la loro visione creativa su 7.000 metri quadrati distribuiti su due piani. Questo spazio artistico polivalente e inclusivo ospita eventi artistici unici, corsi di "sorseggio e pittura" e mostre esclusive di artisti locali e di tutto il mondo, oltre a offrire uno spazio sociale dinamico dove un DJ residente si esibisce ogni fine settimana.

Enhancing the gallery’s atmosphere
Marquee AV were appointed to provide a stylish, high-end music system which would enhance, but not detract from, the key focus of the space, the art adorning the walls. The gallery has been designed as a crisp, bright, modern white space with all fixtures and fittings blending invisibly into the surround, allowing the art to ‘pop’ from their settings.
It was evident to Marquee AV that a Void Acoustics deployment would answer the brief perfectly, not only with the exceptional sonic quality of the speakers, but with the capability to provide distinctive white fibreglass cases which would blend seamlessly into the gallery surrounds. The sound system also needed to be versatile, helping to create the perfect ambience for day or night-time events, including exhibitions and parties.

With a clear project specification, the installation was a smooth and efficient process, and the team ensured that the Cyclone 4s were positioned to offer excellent sound distribution, whilst also being visually appealing to match the stylish, modern architecture of the space. The punchy, design-led Cyclone speakers are supported by Venu 112 V2 subwoofers for extra bass output, all set into the walls to continue the sleek layout of the gallery as desired by the client.
